We are thrilled to have Mr. The program is part of a sustained effort to combat rampant fuel smuggling and misdeclaration of petroleum products, estimated to be costing the local government between PHP 26.9 billion to PHP 43.8 billion in tax revenues annually. The Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion Act (TRAIN) was signed by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on 19 December 2017 and imposes an excise tax on all petroleum products, including lubricating oils and greases. A fuel marking system will be mandatory under this legislation to ensure proper collection of excise taxes on petroleum products. In a major coup for F+L Week 2018, Deputy Commissioner of the Assessment and Operations Coordinating Group (AOCG) at the Bureau of Customs, Edward James Dy Buco, has been confirmed to speak at F+L Week 2018 in Macao, on March 8, 2018. Fuel marking describes the process by which an invisible is blended with a product to track it through the supply chain detecting smuggling, adulteration and dilution of fuels, as well as outright theft. Product samples are gathered from retailers and analysed to check if the correct amount of a marker is present. Implementation of a fuel marking program responds to calls from major oil industry players within the Philippines to address concerns about the smuggling of fuel into the country. Every fuel marking program is different since a program operational requirements are designed to meet unique objectives. are thrilled to have Mr. Dy Buco in Macao to present the latest update in the enactment of the Philippines fuel marking system, says Vicky Villena Denton, CEO and Editor in Chief of F Asia, the major industry publisher that puts on the popular annual F+L Week conference. those who would like to understand what going on in the Philippines fuel marking program, this will be the first time that a high level official from the Philippine Bureau of Customs will be able to provide our industry an update on the program since TRAIN was implemented in January. timberland boots 6 inch Dennis Edwards dies at 74

Dennis Edwards, the Detroit singer whose gritty, electric vocals led the Temptations into a new phase of their career, died Thursday night in a Chicago hospital. He was 74.

Edwards, who joined the iconic Motown group in 1968 in the wake of David Ruffin’s firing, was the prominent voice on enduring Tempts hits such as “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone,” “Ball of Confusion (That’s What the World is Today)” and “Cloud Nine.” He remained a staple of the core group through the 1980s, and in the ’90s formed a splinter act that eventually toured as the Temptations Review Featuring Dennis Edwards.

A Motown Museum representative confirmed Edwards’ death. The singer lived in the St. Louis area, and the St. Louis Post Dispatch reported that he died of complications from meningitis, for which he was initially hospitalized last spring.

“My heart is very heavy,” Martha Reeves told the Free Press. “I feel like I’ve been hit by a sledgehammer.”

Reeves said that she and fellow Motown alumni such as Mary Wilson had heard that Edwards was hospitalized, but that details had been hard to come by.

“We’ve been praying that he made a recovery,” Reeves said. “We should all be in better communications with each other, because we’re a family.”

Through the years, Edwards was defined by his boundless energy onstage and off, Stevenson said.

“Here’s a guy who could jump up, sing and dance at any given moment, like there was no end,” Stevenson said. “Which was a good thing. He was always trying to keep things on the up. He was energized and kept a smile on his face.”

timberland mens coats Denmark’s Rick Diny Named Packers H

Rick Diny, head coach of the Denmark Vikings, has been selected as the Green Bay Packers High School Coach of the Week for the week ending Oct. 27, the Packers announced Tuesday.

The Vikings blanked Winnebago Lutheran, 42 0, in the first round of the WIAA Division 4 playoffs. Diny’s squad finished the regular season 6 3 (4 3 Packerland Conference). The Vikings compiled a record of 2 7 in 2003. Diny’s selection of Coach of the Week keeps alive the tradition of one Brown County school receiving the award since the award went statewide in 1999.

“It’s an honor to win this award,” said Diny. “We have been playing really well as a team defensively. We’ve been shutting teams down, only giving up 110 yards rushing and 10 points a game. Offensively we’ve been averaging 280 yards a game. It’s been a real joy to coach the kids.”

Diny has six assistant coaches, Richard Jonely, Kory Pontbriand, Brett Boardewilk, Dale Whipp, Gerald Rosek and Max Roth, on staff for his program of 78 players, 33 of them on the varsity team. Denmark High School has an enrollment of 551 students.

Before becoming the head coach for Denmark in 2002, he first served as an assistant for Manitowoc Roncalli from 1991 2002. He has taught math for 14 years.

Diny is a 1986 graduate of De Pere Abbot Pennings, where he played football for coach Al Groves. He also was a member of the track and field team.

Diny and his wife, Laurie, have a daughter, Emily, and two sons, Jacob and Caleb. Diny was born in Green Bay.

timberland earth boots Dems Show No Sign Of Retreat As In Shutdown’s First Day

WASHINGTON (AP) Republicans and Democrats showed no signs of ending their standoff over immigration and spending Saturday as Americans awoke to the first day of a government shutdown and Congress staged a weekend session to show voters it was trying to resolve the stalemate.

The closure of many government agencies was a striking display of Washington dysfunction, played out on the one year anniversary of President Donald Trump’s inauguration, and there was more finger pointing than signs of bipartisan dealmaking.

The president spoke with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R Ky., to discuss the next possible steps, while chief of staff John Kelly also worked the phones. White House negotiators, legislative affairs director Marc Short and budget chief Mick Mulvaney, went to Capitol Hill to meet with House Republicans, who emerged holding fast to their stance they would not negotiate while the government was shuttered.

Right around midnight, Senate Democrats killed a GOP written House passed measure that would have kept agencies functioning for four weeks. Democrats were seeking a stop gap bill of just a few days in hopes that would build pressure on Republicans, and were opposing a three week alternative offered by GOP leaders. illegally as children. Each party believes it had a winning political hand, and the day’s first words by party leaders underscored that so far, neither side believe it was time to give ground. He blamed Trump for reneging on a near deal that Schumer said the two men had approached during a White House meeting Friday.

“Negotiating with President Trump is like negotiating with Jell O,” Schumer said.

Though the House and Senate were in session Saturday, it was unclear whether lawmakers would take any votes of consequence.

Democrats said they oppose the three week plan, viewing it as a way to stall negotiations over the future of the “Dreamers” immigrants, whose protections expire in March. Republicans declared they would not reopen talks until the government shutdown ends,
timberland premium Dems Show No Sign Of Retreat As In Shutdown's First Day
a strategy aimed at trying to erode Democratic cohesion.

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California said Trump had earned an “F for “failure in leadership.” She said Republicans are “so incompetent and negligent that they couldn’t get it together to keep the government open.”

The fourth government shutdown in a quarter century began at the stroke of midnight at the start of a weekend, so many of the immediate effects will be muted for most Americans. Critical government functions will continue, with uniformed service members, health inspectors and law enforcement officers set to work without pay. But if no deal is reached before Monday, hundreds of thousands of federal employees will be furloughed.

Arguing that Trump’s predecessors “weaponized” that shutdown, Mulvaney said his budget office would direct agencies to work to mitigate the impact this time, although it was unclear how long that was possible. That position is a striking role reversal for the conservative former congressman who was one of the architects of the 2013 shutdown.

Political damage could grow quickly if the closure is prolonged.

Both parties are wagering that voters will punish the other at the ballot box in November.

Democrats are laying fault on Republicans, who control both chambers of Congress and the White House and have struggled with building internal consensus. Republicans branded the confrontation a “Schumer shutdown.” The senator assembled enough Democratic opposition to kill the House passed bill.

Trump said Democrats “could have easily made a deal but decided to play Shutdown politics instead.” In a series of tweets hours after the shutdown began, the president tried to make the case for Americans to elect more Republicans to Congress in November “in order to power through this mess.” He noted that there are 51 Republicans in the 100 member Senate, and it often takes 60 votes to advance legislation.

The stop gap measure won 50 votes in the Senate, including five Democrats.

Trump and Schumer tried to cut a last minute deal that would have included greater military spending and money for a wall along the Mexican border. But the talks fell apart almost as abruptly as they started.

Trump had been set to leave Friday afternoon to attend a fundraiser at his estate in Palm Beach, Florida, where he intended to make the inauguration anniversary. But he remained in Washington.

The last shutdown came in 2013. Tea party Republicans, in a strategy not unlike the one Schumer is employing now, sought to use a must pass budget bill to try to force President Barack Obama to delay implementation of his health care law. At the time, Trump told “Fox Friends” that the ultimate blame for a shutdown lies at the top. “I really think the pressure is on the president,” he said.

timberland tall boots Demolition begins on Roy O Brien Ford dealership in St

With mixed emotions, workers at Roy O Brien Ford watched the showroom of the iconic business at the renowned corner of Nine Mile and Mack in St. Clair Shores be torn down last week.

Some were sad to see a portion of the 70 year old dealership s history come to an end, but they were equally excited to see renovations to the building and a new chapter for Roy O Brien Ford about to begin.

This was my grandfather s, then my dad s and now my brother (Mark O Brien) is running it it s a family business, said Maureen O Brien Bratto, who has worked in the sales division of the dealership for the past 12 years.

Although it s a family business, the dealership through it s decades old jingle of stay on the right track, to Nine Mile and Mack and community involvement, became part of the fabric of St. Clair Shores and beyond.

In 1946, Roy Edwin O Brien Sr. founded the Ford dealership that would bear his name with a $50,000 investment and 10 employees, according to the company s website. Sales and customer satisfaction grew under the leadership of his son Roy E O Brien Jr., the website states. The company now has 110 employees and an average monthly payroll of more than $600,000.

Roy O Brien Jr. died in 2010 at the age of 81. Maureen O Brien Bratto,

one of his seven children, said she wishes he could have lived to have seen the business take its next major step.

It s sad to see the business coming down, she said Friday afternoon. I know my dad would have loved to have been part of this. It s an icon.

After the demolition is complete, the second phase of the renovations will begin and should be done by late fall. The initial phase was an eight month remodeling of the service department.

The renovations will include a new exterior, service area and parking lot on the northwest corner of Nine Mile Road and Greater Mack Avenue.

The goal of the renovations is to provide a warmer presentation of the company and make the corner brighter and create a new image, Roy O Brien officials told City Council members in 2016.

Plans call for:

A two story facade for the Greater Mack side that will wrap around to the Nine Mile portion

A new delivery showroom

A 5,000 square foot, single story addition to the repair and service portion

Construction of a new parking facility

On Friday, the sales staff would periodically rush outdoors to watch the demolition process as the walls, windows, and steel beams came tumbling down.

The tear down captured the attention of workers and passing motorists for much of Friday, said inventory Robert Krause, a 21 year employee, who videotaped portions of the process on an iPad.
